This scale is a multifunction, ultrasonic fish measuring device that doubles as a digital fishing scale. Traditional fish measuring devices require the user to lay a fish on a measuring board or stretch out a conventional measuring device. Well documented research, however, indicates that laying a fish on its side creates considerable damage to internal organs and removes the valuable bacteria fighting slime. The SP now allows you to pick the fish out of the water, weigh it with a corrosion free digital scale, and measure the length without forcing human interaction with its delicate body.

Easy to use, the SP includes a stainless-steel lip hook which pivots 360 degrees and attaches to the fish’s mouth. To take a reading, you simply hold the fish vertical with its tail slightly touching a solid object, such as the ground or a boat deck. The scale then makes its readings using laser-guided ultrasound. The SP is clean and extremely efficient, so you have more time to spend enjoying your catch.

Versatile and convenient, the SP calculates fish length from 5 to 60 inches and weighs fish (in ounces, pounds, or kilograms) as large as 50 pounds, giving you plenty of wiggle room. And thanks to the corrosion-free, solid-state scale mechanism, you’ll never have to worry about the device suffering a mechanical break down, as there are no moving parts. Other details include a “Hold” mode that lets you lock the display on the current reading while in a rocking boat; a tare feature that offsets the reading to zero to accommodate weigh bags or containers; a backlit, polarized LCD display that’s easy to read even when wearing polarized glasses; and a laser pointer that shows where the ultrasound is aimed.
